Better After Friday #2

Welcome back to Better After Friday!
Here I will showcase before and after images!

Today's image is from a recent session at the LDS Mormon Temple in Folsom, CA!
Very rarely am I asked to remove tattoos in photos, but this newlywed asked so I have spent the last week removing tattoos! For that reason I have decided to showcase an image from this session!

Once again, some creative cloning in Adobe Photoshop CS4, and some spot healing and the tattoos are gone! She has two on her colarbones, one on her wrist and two on her feet! The hardest are definitely on the feet because the strap goes through them (not shown in this image). If you're trying to remove tattoos, make sure you have lots of caffeine and patience!
1. SOOC (Straight out of camera)
2. Cloning out tattoos and basic adjustments
3. Lightroom Action (Using my preset)

Adjustments:
Slight curve bump
Soften skin (my personal recipe)
Brighten eyes
Smart Sharpen
Warm filter

 Burned in background

Action: Personal preset created in Lightroom

Better After Friday #1

Welcome to my first ever Better After Friday!
Here I will showcase before and after images!
I also LOVE B&W so expect to see lots of it!
(if you're wondering, I changed it from Sunday because my timelines didn't work for challenges!)

Today's image is from a recent session at the families home. Shooting on-location means being unable to control the environment for the shoot! We decided to play around in the front yard on the couples' bike. In this particular image my own vehicle is in the background.

Some creative cloning (In Adobe Photoshop CS4) and it's gone!
I have some worse ones from the shoot, and I may feature another next week.
I have to admit, I rarely have to do much editing on my photos other than basic adjustments. But in situations like this, I shoot to get the shot I want, and still keep my photoshop hours limited!

1. SOOC (Straight out of camera)
2. Cloning and basic adjustments
3. Lightroom B&W (Using my preset)

Adjustments:
Slight curve bump
Soften skin (my personal recipe)
Brighten eyes
Contrast boost
Smart Sharpen
Warm filter
B&W: Personal preset created in Lightroom

Updates!

It has been (over!) a month since I last updated. Way too many changes going on at once to keep this updated!

I recently rebuilt my website, still updating the galleries but check out the format (I love it)!

My facebook is under construction, I no longer post public galleries due to people stealing images. Except for those who ASK for public, or cannot access private galleries. I do have one recent gallery which is an old friend of mine from high school, showcasing her BEAUTIFUL growing family! Check it out!

I haven't decided how I want to format the blog. Things have been too hectic to even consider it! But I will at least direct you to a place I have been active at!

My new blog: Lillian Pearl Designs is a my boutique blog showcasing recent work, decor and organization tips, featured blogs, as well as tutorials posted WEEKLY!
Make sure you follow it to see all of the great things coming!

Sneak Peak!

Believe it or not, I've been super busy. Much too busy to upload images on my Facebook (other than private galleries). I'm working it, I promise, but unfortunately that's at the bottom of my to-do list.
Speaking of lists...
I'd like to show you guys a sneak peak of what I have been so busy doing!
As of last week I am certified html web developer!
I have two websites I am in the last stages of developing, so those links will come later. However here is a screen shot of my first website. (FAKE business, it was developed for my class so there is no link to open), all images, graphics and codes belong to me.
Patton-Fuller Community Hospital, belongs to University of Phoenix (again, a FAKE company). The website features all of the basics (about, trustees, procedures etc) and an account log-in page with links to set appointments, search doctors, pay bills, online discussion board and a online gift shop. The homepage features a Flash slideshow and auto update ticker for important notices (which can be updated directly from the owners cell phone)!

I have another certification on the way that I am SO excited to share with you, but I will leave it until I'm finished!

In other news, I am available for teaching workshops! For more information please email me to set up a consultation. I am available for private parties, schools, and clubs. I can teach junior high and up! Workshop comes with an e-book for future reference, as well as individual 'cheat sheets' for everyone attending! The workshop can be customized to your preference, or a standard overview. Please email me for references as well!

Besides having HUNDREDS of photos I would love to share with you, I have brand new pre-created logos for purchase!  Just $50, and will be customized to you! I need to finish laying them out before I show them! If you are interested in learning more, or purchasing one please email me!

Last but not least, in exciting news I have a tutorial blog in the works! Advertisers are welcome, I will have more information on that later!
